    Types of Solar Power Plant

    A) On Grid: On-Grid Systems are solar PV systems that only generate power when the utility power grid is available to function. If it is producing more power than is being consumed, the surplus is fed into the mains power grid to Govt. which will be credited in your next electricity bill or pay you for the same through Net Metering System by Indian Govt.

    B) Off Grid: An off-grid system is completely disconnected from the traditional electric power grid. Without a connection to the utility grid, batteries are essential to balance periods of excess production and excess demand. To protect against shortfalls of power when the solar system is under-producing and the batteries are discharged.

    C) Hybrid: A Hybrid Solar Power System is also connected to the traditional utility power grid and adds battery-backup to the system. Solar electric system production depends on the available sunlight. When production exceeds demand, the excess power can charge the batteries, which store the electricity. When the system is producing less electricity than demanded by the home, the batteries can make up the shortfall.

    Energy costs for residential buildings are telescopic in nature. As the energy consumption increases, tariff increases in corresponding slabs. Rising power costs and Government of India’s push towards solar adoption has played an important role. In the long term, every rooftop is a generator of solar power. As the rooftop has zero opportunity cost it could be utilized to generate power and meet their electricity requirements – thereby using an idle asset.

    Commercial buildings (offices and other business organizations) depends on electricity for most of their energy consumption needs and the consumption of power in an office building during the day time is much higher which makes them ideally suited to install solar panels and dozens of state and central tax rebate and credit opportunities are available for rooftop-solar systems for the ones interested in using solar energy in commercial buildings. Making the switch to generating power on-site from internally free source of energy – the sun can bring down the operating costs of the company for coming decades. Offices and Businesses can use solar panels and solar thermal panels for a variety of uses including pre-heating ventilation air, water heating, solar cooling, lighting and electricity.

    Solar Street Lights

    Solar street lights are independent from the utility grid resulting to lessened operation costs. This means that these are wireless lights and are not connected to your electricity provider.
